How we collect, use, and look after your information. Written to be read, not skimmed past.
1. Who we are
100 Carats Incorporated is a California corporation. We design and hand-make custom fine jewelry set with lab-grown diamonds in Los Angeles. Sales are currently handled by inquiry and invoice.
This policy covers https://100carats.com and any subdomains we operate, including the forthcoming shop.100carats.com store when it launches. In this policy, "we," "us," and "our" mean 100 Carats Incorporated.
2. Information you give us
We collect the information you choose to send us.
Inquiry form
Your name, email address, phone number, and the project details you describe, including any reference photos you attach.

Commission and purchase process
Billing and shipping address, payment information, and sizing or personalization details such as ring size or engraving text. Payment card details are handled by our payment processors. We do not store them.
3. Information collected automatically
When you visit the site we collect standard technical information through Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager:
- IP address and approximate location
- Device type, operating system, and browser
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- Referral source, meaning the site or search that sent you here
- Cookie-based identifiers
4. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to inquiries and answer questions
- Prepare quotes and design proposals
- Fulfill commissions and deliver finished pieces
- Follow up on an inquiry by phone or text
- Send marketing and promotional email to people who give us their address
- Process payments and issue invoices
- Understand site traffic, performance, and how people find us
5. Service providers
We share information with the companies that help us run the business. Each handles data under its own privacy policy.

We may add or change payment processors, financing providers, analytics tools, and other service providers from time to time. This policy will be updated to reflect them.
We do not sell personal information.
6. Legal disclosure
We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process. We may also disclose it where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, enforce our terms, prevent fraud, or protect the safety of any person.
7. Business transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, customer information may be transferred as part of that transaction. Any information transferred stays subject to this policy or a successor policy.
8. Email marketing
Submitting your email address may result in marketing or promotional messages from us. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
Every marketing message includes an unsubscribe link. You can also unsubscribe at any time by emailing info@100carats.com.
9. Phone and text messages
Submitting your phone number is your consent to be contacted by phone or text about that inquiry and the commission that results from it. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out.
10. Cookies
Cookies are small text files a site stores in your browser. They let the site recognize a returning visit and let us measure how the site is used. Google Analytics 4 sets cookies on this site.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Doing so may change how parts of the site work. You can also install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to stop Google Analytics from collecting your data.
11. Do Not Track
Some browsers send a Do Not Track signal. There is no common standard for how sites should respond to it, and we do not currently respond to Do Not Track signals.
We do honor Global Privacy Control signals, as described in the California privacy rights section below.
12. Data retention
Analytics event data and user data are retained for 14 months, which matches our Google Analytics configuration.
Inquiry, commission, and transaction records are kept as long as necessary to complete the commission and to meet applicable tax and recordkeeping obligations.
13. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
14. California privacy rights
If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act gives you the following rights:
- Right to know and access. Ask what personal information we have collected about you and how we use it.
- Right to delete. Ask us to delete personal information we hold about you.
- Right to correct. Ask us to fix personal information that is wrong.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information, but the right stands.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information.
- Right to non-discrimination. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
How to make a request
Email info@100carats.com with the request you want to make.
Verification
We verify your identity before acting on a request. Usually this means confirming the request comes from an email address already on file with us. We may ask for additional information where it is necessary to confirm who you are.
Authorized agents
You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request for you. We may require written authorization from you, and we may still need to verify your identity directly.
Timing
We acknowledge requests within 10 business days and respond substantively within 45 calendar days. Where reasonably necessary we may take one additional 45 day extension, and we will tell you if we do.
Global Privacy Control
We honor Global Privacy Control signals sent by your browser or extension as a valid opt out request.
15. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
If that ever changes, we will update this section and provide a working opt out method before any sale or sharing begins. To submit an opt out request now, or to ask how we handle this, email info@100carats.com. We also honor Global Privacy Control signals.
16. International visitors
We operate this site from the United States, and information we collect is processed there. If you visit from outside the United States, you are sending your information to the United States.
We intend to expand international sales. We will update this policy as the requirements that apply to us change.
17. Children
Our services are not directed to anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, email info@100carats.com and we will delete it.
18. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the business changes or as the law requires. When we do, we post the revised policy on this page and update the effective date at the top.
Material changes will be made clear on this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
